Infants 4 months and older.

Length of Process:

Adoptions from India generally take 10-12 months from the time of referral depending on the orphanage the referral comes from. Individual timelines will be discussed at the time of referral. Referrals can take up to 4 months for infant females and up to 6 months for infant males.

Criteria:

Married couples and single women, age 25 years or older, are eligible to adopt from India.

Interesting Facts:

All babies and children are from an orphanage. Children receive medical care. Families are granted guardianship of the child and will have to finalize the  adoption in the United States.
